Dominique Rozier
(1840–1901)
Rozier was a painter of flowers and still-lifes. Born in Paris on 21 October 1840, he was a pupil of Vollon. In 1879, Rozier made his debut at the Paris Salon.
In 1876, 1880, 1889 and 1900 Rozier was awarded medals of excellence. A skilful artist, Rozier was highly regarded during his lifetime and inspired many young artists to follow in his footsteps.
