Johanna von Destouches
(1869 – 1956)
Born in Munich on June 3rd 1869, Johanna von Destouches was both a painter and a poet. She studied the Munich School of Arts and Craft under Olga Weiß. She had her first exhibition at the Munich Art Society in 1897, before studying under Else Gürleth-Hey. She went on to open her own studio and is best known for her flower paintings in oil and watercolour. Destouches died in Munich on January 12th 1956.
