Mixed summer flowers
Born in Paris in 1845 where he studied under Marius Vassillon (1841 – 1924). Couder exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1869 onwards. Titles of his work include Flowers in May, 1869, Choice of my Garden, 1880, Flowers in June, 1885.
Another fine example of his work is held in the collection of the Norton Simon Art Foundation, USA.
