Alexandre Clarys
(1857 - 1920)
Painter of dogs and race horses, poster artist and illustrator. He studied at the academy of Brussels, as well as in the workshop of E. White Garin from 1888 to 1914. He specialised in scenes with dogs or horses in a realistic style. Clarys drew posters for horse races and produced illustrations for sports magazines.
